It’s been called a “'perfect food” and for good reason. Pasta Bolognese is a simple dish to master with some key techniques and a few easily obtained ingredients, half of which are vegetables. You can make a large batch of both pasta and sauce to enjoy all week long or to freeze for future meals.
In this all ages virtual cooking workshop, you will make your own pasta dough from scratch. While it rests, Chef Laura will guide you through the creation of a bubbling pot of bolognese. You’ll then learn how to roll, shape and cut your pasta into tagliatelle, orechiette, or pappardelle. We’ll finish with proper cooking and saucing techniques that will make your nonna proud. This class has something for pasta novices as well as experienced home cooks. You’ll learn about the pasta shapes and their origins, all while practicing how to make it.
This is a VIRTUAL LIVE COOKING CLASS. Join from your phone, tablet or computer at HOME.
No special tools, equipment or ingredients needed (see below), but we recommend a pasta roller. A rolling pin will also work. Some prep is required and unless you’re feeding a large Italian family, you will have freezable leftovers. Vegetarian friendly.
$29 per email address - your entire household can join. All ages welcomed and encouraged.
