Oktoberfest Soft Beer Pretzels and Dips at Teaching Table

  • Teaching Table 12 Noel Drive Ossining United States (map)

Giant Soft Pretzels are great any time of year, but we’re especially craving them when the cool breezes start rolling in and take the leaves from the trees. We’ll put some beer into the pretzels and the dippers for authentic Oktoberfestivities.

In this part-demonstration, part hands-on class, you will bake a half dozen Soft Beer Pretzels from scratch. First, we will explore the microscopic world of yeast, watching it come to life in front of our very eyes. While waiting for our dough to rise, we will whip up a few dipping sauces. Then we will roll and shape pretzels and practice the proper baking method. Make twists, knots and even rolls for your brats. Or twist the dough around a sausage for a scratch-made pretzel take on a pig in a blanket.

At the end of class, you will sample the dips with freshly baked pretzels and also take your freshly baked pretzels home with you.
